I was so excited to hear when Braxton’s mom was pregnant. I actually photographed her family 3 years ago so it was so amazing to work with them again. Braxton did amazing at his in home newborn session. I always encourage parents to make the drive to my studio but for some parents that’s not possible. I have in home option where I bring the studio for you. The in home option can be added to any newborn session fee for an additional $200. I bring all my lights, props, outfits, wraps, backdrops, etc. Braxton’s mom Sam said she just couldn’t imagine getting out with a new baby at the time. I don’t blame her those first few weeks home are hard. When I got to their house I went in to check lighting and we started the family portion. Her husband works nights so we made sure to get the family portion out of the way so he could go sleep. After the family portion we uploaded the car and I made a studio setup in their master bedroom. For these in home session having a large room to setup in is a very helpful since my equipment is so big. I got everything setup and started Braxton’s individuals. He wasn’t the sleepiest in the beginning but passed out with in the first 30 minutes. We got some great sleepy shots as well as some awake. It’s always good to get a little of both.
At their ordering appointment 1 week after the session we did a zoom call so there was no need to leave the house. They love their gallery and chose almost all of them to purchase! She also got her mom an acrylic block as a gift. My add on section on my pricing guide is great for gifts. acrylic blocks and wood block trio’s are the most popular products!
