Sweet baby Luca rocked his newborn session. I always schedule newborn sessions when baby is 8-14 days old. However I do have babies who book last minute when I have an opening, so I’ve photographed babies in newborn poses up to 4 weeks! Most babies around the 2 week mark become more alert and don’t settle into the poses as easy. For Luca’s session mom and I talked about doing more Fall colors. I love how the oranges and creams looked on him. The orange with the pillow set was one of my favorites!
Luca started out wide eyed and that is completely okay. 80% of babies need to be wrapped to fall asleep in the beginning go a session. Luca loved being wrapped and we got to see his gorgeous eyes. After his awake photos I had to bring out all my soothing skills to get this little guy to sleep. I finally got his asleep and wrapped, so we were able to get the hand on his cheek photo which ended up being one of my favorites from his gallery. After, he has a little feed and then we moved on to table (naked) poses. This was a just baby photos session, so we didn’t do any family or sibling poses. This was baby #4 for this sweet mama, so she didn’t want to drag everyone to the studio.
Big families are always welcome and here at JSP welcome chaos with a hug HAHA. Sibling and family are crazy, but so special and worth it.
