Make yourself at home! Hair and makeup is included with all my newborn sessions, so that is where you'll start first while I get baby's individuals out of the way.

This sweet new family of 3 came to visit me for their newborn & family portraits session. Lucas is in my 1 year baby plan, so I've gotten to to see him at his maternity and newborn sessions so far. Our next sessions will be sitter when he is 6-9 months and again at 1 year. It's always an honor to see my little clients grow and I can't wait to see them back for yearly family portraits.

Miss Evelyn brought along her big brother and he did fantastic. 4 year olds can be a hit or miss if they want pictures or not. His mom told me he was so excited to be coming back since they were here about a month ago for their maternity session. At first he wasn’t too fond of the idea of pictures. I pulled out all my tricks and was able to get him to cooperate. I probably look like a crazy person behind the camera… but hey anything to get the real genuine smiles. We got some amazing sibling pictures as well as family. Evelyn rocked her individuals and let me get some many set ups done. At their reveal everyone was so in love with the gallery! They ended up choosing a combined maternity and newborn fine art album. They also got a full gallery of digitals to go along with their album. I always recommend my clients to go for a tangible product that will last for generations and then get the digitals to share online, birth announcements, small prints, etc.

Sweet baby Isaiah came in with his adorable big brother and sister. I just got to see them not too long ago for Maria’s maternity session. They decided not to find out baby’s gender so this session was even more anticipated. We were all so excited! I started with Isaiah’s individuals while mom was getting her hair and makeup done. The kids did amazing and were such troopers during the whole session. Newborn sessions can get long, so I normally have siblings show up when needed if possible. He needed a feed after family portraits so we gave him a little break and then moved on to his prop and naked poses.

The Newborn Experience
When is the best time to book my newborn session?
The best time to book your newborn session is when you are 12-20 weeks along. This is also a good time to secure your maternity session.
If you only have one spot left for my due date month how does that work since we don't know when baby will be here?
Once your session fee is paid you have a guaranteed spot no matter when baby decides to arrive.
Do you book up fast for newborn session?
Yes! As soon as you're in the perfect window to book, grab your spot! I book 2-3 months in advance and only have 5-8 spots available depending on the month. Holiday months get booked up even further in advance!
* MY MOST ASKED QUESTION- oh no! What if my baby poops or pees on something?
I cannot stress this enough enough. I work with infants these accidents are going to happen and i handle them with ease. I'm usually laughing because some of these messes can be extravagant haha. All props, backdrop, and wraps used are washed after each session so their is no worries AT ALL!
Do I have to bring anything for the shoot?
Unless you want a special item photographed, all you have to bring is baby and their essentials. I have everything set up based on your questionnaire, so all you have to do is walk into a warm studio.
Newborn Session Faq
The first step to finding if we are the best fit is filling out my contact form! From here I will explain the whole session process and everything I have to offer to you. I love providing everything for each of your sessions. My goal is to make your life as stress-free as possible : )
1. Say Hello
Once you've heard the amazing experience you're going to have and how everything works it is time to pick if you want just a newborn session or a maternity session as well. My most popular package is my belly to baby session that includes both sessions, all the dresses, baby props/accessories, and professional hair and makeup for each session.
2. session fee
Once your session fee is paid you will be sent your "Welcome Email." This email has all the details for your session including a copy of the investment guide, questionnaire, and contract. You're questionnaire is where you can let me know all your colors, anything I should know, and what you would like to see at you're dream session. Once I have received your questionnaire forms we will schedule a date when baby arrives, Babies can come at any time so once you're booked your guaranteed a spot no matter when baby decides to arrive!
3. Planning it
Newborn sessions are one of my favorites. I love providing my clients with a clean and calming environment for baby's first pictures. When you walk in I will greet you at the door and lead you back to my warm cozy studio. From there, we will get baby out and ready for their first set ups or a top off feeding if needed, Next I'lll have you head over to our hair and makeup room where you will be pampered while I take care of your precious little one. Newborn sessions take about 2-3 hours depending on baby. I will follow your baby's lead so that time allows for feeding, cuddles, and changes. Your partner is welcome to come hang out with me, but the door is always open if you want to be in and out. When hair and makeup is done you are welcome to come sit on my cozy couch and watch the magic happen. After baby's individuals we will end with family pictures. After we are all done with pictures don't feel like you have to rush out. My whole day is dedicated to your session and your family. You can take your time to pack up your things or do a last feeding before heading home,
4. Your Session
Your session is done and now you can't wait to see your beautiful gallery! We will schedule a reveal appointment for you to come in and see all your beautiful images . We will start with a slideshow of all the images and then you will be able to choose your favorites! It can be an emotional process for everyone in the room. I love watching my client 's sweet reaction. You may even cry and that's okay tissues are on stand by haha. I even get choked up sometimes!
5. gallery reveal/product delivery
Your $250 session fee is the only payment due to hold your spot on my calendar. Your session fee includes the time and talent of your photographer, styling of your session, props and wardrobe for the duration of your session, your viewing and ordering appointment approximately 1 week after your session takes place, professional retouching of your images, and hand delivery of your products to your home if needed. A session fee and signed contract are required to secure your session. Session fee payments are non-refundable and are required to book your session.

It is easy to see that Jaclyn is an amazing photographer. All you have to do is look at the photos she has taken and you can see that. What the photos don’t show you, however, is her amazing personality. She is very welcoming and is a magical baby whisperer. She had our little girl happy and comfortable for two hours during the shoot. Not only is she great with babies, but she was patient and so sweet to our six year old. She let him help pick out headbands, asked his opinion about poses, and answered all 5,000 questions he had with a smile on her face. She made us feel comfortable and accommodated all picture requests we had. Her home studio felt welcoming and she made us all really comfortable.

We had our newborn session with Jaclyn and couldn’t be more impressed! She was so well prepared, taking time to ensure that all the different set ups were complimentary and unique to our little guys skin tone, baby room, theme, etc. She is incredibly sweet and patient, even with a fussy lil guy that was much more interested in watching her than sleeping. She was genuinely kind and reassuring, supportive of nursing him or giving him a break whenever he needed it. Not to mention she’s such an easy going person. I loved being able to chat with her throughout the session.
You can tell she’s passionate about her work as she takes time to work out all the details of her props, set ups, poses, etc. we enjoyed this session and we can’t wait to work with her again!

I have been with Jaclyn since December of 2017 and only wish that I had been with her longer. She is one of the most amazing, talented, kindest, and patient professional/friend that you will come across. She is responsive to any questions you have and has the best checklist before coming. Then she provides everything that you could need (hair, makeup, outfits) and tailors your session to make it unique. Babies have a mind of their own so sessions won’t always go how you think they will but she is so accommodating to feeding, snack breaks or just a break in general to recoup. She makes sure that you love your pictures and has a way to make you feel beautiful inside and out! Jaclyn did an incredible job capturing our newborn photos. She went above and beyond. As newborns go, our 2 hour session became a 4 hour one when our son didn’t want to cooperate. She was patient and kind and did what it took to capture a beautiful moment for us. HIGHLY recommend!

Jaclyn was calm, cool, and collected when we arrived with our very disgruntled one-year old! We were panicked that we wouldn't get any good photos and it couldn't have been more opposite. Jaclyn was so patient with our sweet girl (and us!) and I actually LOVED the shots she got in the beginning when she was still teary and timid. Where to start? Jaclyn is awesome. We came to her for newborn photos. Super professional. Entered her studio and it shows she’s prepared for new born photos, with a warm studio comforting for a naked newborn. She is super patient and very attentive to detail. We were amazed by the photos we received. I would recommend her to anyone looking for newborn photos. Unfortunately for her, our son gave her a good spray of his pee and she was so graceful about it and wasn’t even phased.
